Report Hate-Motivated Crimes Hate-motivated crimes against Asian Americans

The Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans has provided information to report hate-motivated crimes against Asian Americans.

There have been reports of increased incidents of hate-motivated acts against members of Minnesota’s API community. In response to reports by community members and requests from a growing number of community leaders for the state government to act, Governor Walz launched a toll-free discrimination helpline on April 6th.

The toll-free helpline 1-833-454-0148 allows those who experience or witness bias and discrimination to report incidents to the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. The helpline is staffed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An internet form is available here.

If you feel you are in immediate physical danger, please call 911.
