MAPE supports striking teachers 

As the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers (MFT) goes into their third day of striking, many MAPE members have asked what they can do to show up in solidarity. As often happens in fast-moving strikes, actions are not made public until days or hours before they happen, so we encourage members to follow along on social media for the most accurate updates and ways you can help.  

Minnesota is watching right now as Minneapolis teachers strike for resources to develop the minds of their students, including essential mental health services. As state workers, who often must advocate for the resources needed to provide services for Minnesotans, we can relate. As parents, community members and spouses of teachers, MAPE members know that now is the time to stand in solidarity with those who teach our children.
