MAPE donates to strike fund, provides staffing

Publish Date

The Minneapolis Federation of Teachers (MFT) have been on strike for two and a half weeks. They are striking for resources to develop the minds of their students, including essential mental health services.

MAPE members have asked what we are doing and how they can help. MAPE’s Board of Directors voted to donate $10,000 to MFT and several locals have also donated. This monetary support is critical for keeping Minneapolis teachers' families secure during this uncertain time.

MAPE has also made in-kind donations of staff time to lend our voices and support.

Thank you to MAPE members and staff who have rallied on the strike line to lend their support and encouragement. Follow MFT on social media to see other ways you can get involved.
