Officers Present at the meeting
President, Tonya Fitzgerald, Treasurer, Jane Wallace, Membership Secretary, Bill Shaffer, Recording Secretary, Vernitta Moore.

1) Welcome and call to order:
Tonya called meeting to order and presided over introductions.

Minutes were approved.

b) Membership Secretary: Reported by Bill Shaffer
156 members, 10 associate members and 105 fee payers

c) Treasurer: Reported by Jane Wallace
Indicated balance, YTD. $11,700.00
Jane revised the budget with the new income formula approved last year at the Delegate Assembly. It funds the locals with $1.25 per member per pay period with no income from fee payers. The changes didn’t make too much of a difference. We still have a surplus, just a bit smaller one.

Day on the hill is March 21, 2018 just a few members signed up. Meet & Greet will be April 10th. 9:30 – 11:30, in the Bremer Tower Executive Room. The statewide membership committee will be present helping us out with recruitment. Bill Shaffer is resigning from Membership Secretary at the end of the month. We would like to thank Bill for all of his hard work and recruitments. Bill brought up our numbers for enrollment since holding his position. Special election, nominations open for MAPE first Vice President.
MAPE has a job opening for a business agent deadline April 2nd.

d) Meet and Confer: Tonya Fitzgerald We are currently setting up a time and date. If you are a member and you want to make a difference or a change for the good all at the Department of Public Safety consider joining Meet and Confer. Welcoming all members.
