Welcome – Lucas Peterson
- Last Month’s Meeting Minutes – Approved
- Meeting Agenda – Approved
Volunteer Committee Update – Andrea Falk and Judie Hughes
- Second Stork Drive last month- Local 2101 members donated and packed diaper bags for new parents in need
- 13 packs of diapers, 84 onesies, 35 blankets, 12 sleepers/rompers, 1 package of sippy cups, 22 pairs of socks, 1 hat, and 10 washcloths. Total- 178 items!
- Next drive will be for school supplies, along with volunteer opportunities at the school
- Volunteering is a fun way to give back to the community, a great way to meet people outside of your work area, and a great way for MAPE to get out in the community and have a presence

Class Consolidation Work Group Update – Beth Davis
- Class Consolidation is a DHS HR initiative to consolidate job classes
- Work group consists of 15 members currently and is working to hold DHS to their goals and promises for the outcome of the class consolidation project, and to make sure all information is being communicated effectively
- Work group has secured a monthly meeting with HR monthly meeting with 3 reps from the work group
- Recent documents (also included with the meeting agenda):
- If interested in working on this, email Beth
- Member Nancy Schultz noted that other state agencies might have more effective means of HR reporting about equity and other things like this class consolidation project; it might be worthwhile to find out what other agencies are doing (or encourage HR to)
Red Ribbon Ride Donation Request – April Beachem
- Group from DHS has participated for several years now- “Andy’s Angels”- in honor of Andy Ansell, who used to work at DHS and was a MAPE member
- Raise funds for HIV services, awareness, prevention, treatment
- 5 agency beneficiaries
- $300 donation request – approved unanimously

Membership Drive update
- 78% membership rate. We want bring that back up to 80% and we’re working on a plan to make that happen

- MAPE members are participating in a social media action on the day the Janus decision is released: Take a picture of yourself holding a sign that says “UNION.” Then tweet your photo with #UNION and make it your FB profile picture. Don’t forget to tag @MAPEmn! If you prefer to have it posted by the MAPE Communications team, send your photo to Ashley at aerickson@mape.org.
