Executive Committee approves temporary structure freeze for locals
The rise of telework and the physical consolidation of agency office space due to evolving work environments have presented challenges to MAPE’s geography-based representation structure. In response, MAPE’s Executive Committee approved a resolution that temporarily freezes all changes to the current geographical structure of our locals.
This move is designed to ensure continued balance between the Twin Cities Metro and Greater Minnesota areas, and to allow us the necessary time to thoughtfully reshape our organization. The temporary freeze aims to adapt to the present circumstances while proactively safeguarding the interests and representation of all MAPE members.
“We're confident that, as a community, we can navigate these changes together and emerge stronger,” MAPE President Megan Dayton said. “We understand changes like these may have a direct impact on specific roles or processes within our organization and are developing resources to assist you during this transition period.”
The Executive Committee is gathering member input before making long-term decisions on our structures. To share your feedback and thoughts on this resolution, please reach out to your regional director.
The resolution is already in effect as an interim solution, with a target to establish a more permanent and adaptive structure by the end of the calendar year.
