Despite pandemic, Local 401 safely continues public service event

Despite a global pandemic, Department of Revenue members found a way to participate in a safe community service project in St. Paul last weekend. 

More than 40 Local 401 members and their families attended the clean-up event at Indian Mounds Park. Many more people participated than in pre-COVID-19 events according to Local 401 Activities Committee Chair Julia Stantoznik.  

The group picked up trash around the park for two hours and then enjoyed a socially distanced lunch.

In addition to community service events in the spring and fall, Local 401’s Activities Committee organizes quarterly happy hours, ice-cream socials and an annual MAPE Week with a speaker or activity planned for each day.
