The 2024 Legislative Session Kicks Off

The Minnesota Legislative Session started on Feb. 12. Even years are always the bonding years, which are shorter and focus on policy, rather than the odd years that are budget years. This means we do not expect there to be a lot of spending outside of the bonding bill.

MAPE advocates are focusing their efforts on policy legislation, such as improvements to our retirement benefits, addressing misclassification issues and other pro-labor initiatives.
