At MAPE we are committed to the future of work and workers. Professional employees need ongoing training to maintain their competency, enhance their professional development, and fulfill their continuing education requirements. 

We know that continued access to growth and development is critical for both continued employment, employee satisfaction and wellbeing. Our growth also increases the impact we have as state workers. For these reasons, MAPE offers four scholarships to members, and one to spouses and dependents of MAPE members. 

The application will be available on MAPE’s website on June 1, 2023. Interested members must submit an application by June 30, 2023 at 5 p.m.

The following scholarships are available:

General Scholarship

  • Individual MAPE members
  • Degree or Non-degree seeking continuing education
  • Award up to $1,000

Spouse/Dependent Scholarship

  • Dependent or spouse of a MAPE member
  • Degree or Non-degree seeking continuing education
  • Award up to $250

Ralph Cornelia Professional Development Scholarship

  • Individual MAPE members or groups of MAPE members
  • Job-related, non-degree seeking continuing education
  • Award up to $1,000

​​​​​​​Thomas Kernan Labor Scholarship

  • Individual MAPE Members
  • Labor-related studies
  • Award up to $1,000

​​​​​​​Marge Ramsey Scholarship

  • Individual, Female MAPE Members
  • Job-related, non-degree seeking continuing education
  • ​​​​​​​Award up to $3,000
