Seed Art Event

Join fellow MAPE members for a fun, hands-on Seed Art Event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 18, at the Saint Anthony Park Library in St. Paul. 

Participants will create MAPE- or union-themed seed art. This unique creative medium uses natural materials like seeds, grains, beans, lentils and stems to create detailed pictures. With your permission, completed artwork will be displayed at the MAPE booth in the Labor Pavilion at the Minnesota State Fair and later at MAPE headquarters. 

All basic materials will be provided. If you're able, please bring one or two bags of seed art materials, such as beans, seeds, lentils or other dried legumes, to help expand the variety of available supplies. 

Rumor has it State Auditor Julie Blaha, the queen of seed art herself, may swing by!
