Political Council Updates Legislative agenda feedback form and Community Engagement Officer reboot

The Political Council is hosting two info sessions to talk about MAPE’s Civic Engagement Officer program. These member leaders will help build local political power by organizing participation in precinct caucuses, party conventions and advancing a Working People’s Agenda that reflects our shared goals. To find out more information, attend one of the upcoming sessions on July 23 at 12 p.m. and July 29 at 5:30 p.m.

The Council is also still seeking feedback on its proposed political issues platform, which identifies organizational stances on issues in accordance with our guiding principles. This list is reviewed annually by membership, updated by the Political Council and endorsed by the MAPE Delegate Assembly. MAPE stands by and encourages MAPE members to participate in the political process and advocate for items within the platform.
