As part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, the Organizing Council will be collecting items and assembling hygiene kits and winter weather kits for the unhoused population in Minneapolis.
Members can drop off items in advance or the bring the day of and help assemble kits. Join us:

The list of items are below.
The donations are going to Agate Housing and Services a part of St Stephens.
First priority hygiene items:
- Body soap
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Toothpaste and toothbrush
- Deodorant
- Razor and shaving cream
Second priority hygiene items:
- Non-alcohol based mouthwash
- Comb or brush
- Lotion
- Lip-balm
- No Rinse Body Wash
- No Rinse Shampoo
- Washcloth
- Shower shoes
- Sunscreen
First priority winter items:
- Hand warmers
- Gloves and/or mittens (thick material and variety designed for extreme temps is best)
- Hats
- Winter boots (men and women's sizes 8-12 are most needed)
- Winter jackets (men's sizes large and up are highest need)
- Emergency Blanket (note that these are different from regular blankets, see example here)
- Thermal wear for layering under clothes
Second priority winter items:
- Toe warmers
- Scarves/neck gaiters
- Face mask
- Lip balm
- Water
- Cough drops
- Emergen-C
- Nutrition bars (soft ones, like Nutrigrain, are preferred)
