MAPE Represented at Rally

MAPE Vice President Angie Halseth, along with MAPE Board of Directors members and staff, attended the Rally: Justice for Essential Workers Wednesday, Dec. 1 in downtown Minneapolis. The rally was hosted by a joint labor coalition to demand the Legislature take action to recognize the sacrifices frontline workers have made.

“We are proud to be frontline workers. We told our stories to the taskforce and we’ll keep telling them and we’ll keep standing together,” explained Halseth during the rally.

Last spring the Legislature passed funds of $250 million to be set aside for frontline workers. The Legislative Frontline Worker Taskforce has not agreed on how to award these funds, leaving pay for our heroes at a standstill.
