Governor Walz's powerful message during tonight's State of the State address resonated deeply: "Minnesota has always been a labor stronghold and will continue to champion its workers."

The past few months have demonstrated the immense potential of a government unhindered by gridlock, as Gov. Walz's administration has tirelessly striven to elevate Minnesota as the preeminent state for children, families and workers. With a focus on eradicating child poverty, bolstering school funding, enhancing community safety, upgrading infrastructure, and expanding our economy, Minnesota has seen an influx of well-paying union jobs.

In his address, the governor acknowledged the unwavering dedication of organizers and activists, saying, "To those who tirelessly fight for union rights every day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude."

Minnesota's greatness is within reach when we fully fund our state agencies and recognize the transformative power of collective bargaining. Rest assured that our negotiations team is committed to fiercely defending our union rights while forging a robust contract for MAPE's 2023-25 term.
