Bilingual/Multilingual/Sign Language Differential Pilot reinstated

MAPE’s Negotiations and Executive Committees have approved a Memorandum of Understanding that will reinstate differential pay for Bilingual/Multilingual/Sign Language Pilot participants. We are waiting for MMB’s signatures. This MOU does not create a new benefit or expand eligibility; it simply preserves the employer’s ability to pay differentials for employees who perform bilingual or multilingual work, a pilot that was part of our 2023–2025 contract but expired upon ratification of the 2025–2027 agreement. Nearly 400 eligible members should see differential pay applied within the next few pay periods.
