Feb. 2020 Special Elections

MAPE members will soon be voting for two Regional Directors and 25 local officer positions. Nominations for the Feb. 2020 Special Elections will be open for another two weeks, until Jan. 23, and voting will take place Feb. 6-19.  

Members in Regions 10 and 14 will be voting for Directors.

The following local elections will also be taking place: Local 201: Membership Secretary; Local 501: Vice President, Secretary and Membership Secretary; Local 602: Vice President and Secretary; Local 802: Membership Secretary; Local 1001: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Membership Secretary; Local 1101: Secretary; Local 1102: Treasurer and Membership Secretary; Local 1201: Vice President; Local 1202: Secretary; Local 1302: Secretary; Local 1303: Secretary; Local 1304: Vice President; Local 1501: Secretary; Local 1602: Treasurer and Membership Secretary; Local 1701: Membership Secretary; Local 1702: Membership Secretary; Local 1703: Vice President and Local 1901: Secretary and Social Networking Multimedia/Political Officer.

Members must send their nominations for the Regional Director offices to MAPE Central on behalf of the Elections Committee (swelect@mape.org).

Local Presidents in locals that are conducting elections are asked to appoint a local nominations committee and a local election committee. Local nomination committees shall seek out and encourage qualified persons to run for local elective positions.

Members must send their nominations for local positions to their local election committee which will in turn forward the nominations to MAPE Central (swelect@mape.org). Please send the name and email address of all local election committees’ contact persons for the upcoming elections to swelect@mape.org.

All candidates must provide a personal statement no later than Jan. 28, 2020 or their name will not be placed on the ballot. All candidates must comply with the Social Media in Campaigns Policy at https://mape.org/resources/mape-documents/election-information.
