Legislative auditor’s report is critical of MINNCOR
SHOREVIEW -- As a follow-up to MAPE’s press conference on Monday regarding MAPE’s pending litigation against MINNCOR Industries, the Office of the Legislative Auditor released a report today (Thursday) that is highly critical of MINNCOR. The report can be found on the web at the following address: http://www.auditor.leg.state.mn.us/FAD/pdf/fad0621.pdf
Here’s a brief reaction to the report from MAPE Executive Director Jim Monroe:
“This reaffirms what we have been saying about MINNCOR. MINNCOR did not follow state law when it allegedly sold $400,000 worth of farm equipment for $10,000. MINNCOR was wrong to allow top MINNCOR officials to accept tickets to a Minnesota Vikings game as guests of a vendor. Then for MINNCOR to punish a MAPE member who properly reported this alleged illegal behavior is simply wrong.”
Monroe added: “We stand behind our MAPE members even stronger today in their battle for justice and fair treatment at MINNCOR.”
