Intermediate steward training date changed to June 25

There are still openings for MAPE full members to participate in all three levels of steward training classes in 2008. The date for intermediate steward training has been changed to June 25. For more details, please see below.

Basic steward training – The fourth and final basic steward training session for 2008 will be held June 10 at the MAPE office in Shoreview. Registration will be held 9 to 9:30 a.m., with the class running 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Intermediate steward training -- For full members who want additional steward training, the first intermediate steward training class will be held June 25 at MAPE’s office in Shoreview. The Registration will be 8 to 8:30 a.m. Criteria to participate in this intermediate-level course: must verify participation in one grievance meeting or one investigation meeting. If there’s a problem meeting this requirement, a waiver can be requested through Bob Haag at bhaag@mape.org.

Advanced steward training -- The next advanced steward training class is scheduled for Oct. 16-18 at MAPE’s office in Shoreview. Criteria to participate in this high-level course: must verify participation in at least two grievances and one investigation.
